Hailing from Virginia's 757, an area known for producing musical talent, Zel2Wavy—often referred to as "Wavy"—grew up surrounded by the rhythm of music. Influenced early on by his uncle, a drummer, and his family’s involvement in beat production, Zel’s passion for music started young. As he honed his songwriting craft, he found inspiration in artists like Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, and Future, blending their influences into his own unique sound.
Spending summers in the South, from North Carolina to Atlanta, deeply impacted his musical identity, connecting him with the vibrant Southern rap scene. When the pandemic hit, Zel2Wavy rediscovered his passion for writing music, using the time to experiment and push the envelope with party-ready tracks and authentic sounds. Now, as one of the rising stars on 7 Cities Records, Zel2Wavy is setting the stage for what’s to come, bringing his dynamic energy and unmistakable flow to every track he creates.
